FAQ
Low voltage estimating: common questions
Which drawings do you need?
The technology, security and fire alarm sheets (T, TY or FA series), the floor plans and reflected ceiling plans, specs if available, and your bid date.
Do you measure cable lengths?
Yes. Cable is measured by run from each device to its room or panel, with slack and waste shown separately.
Is fire alarm a separate takeoff?
It can be included with low voltage or done on its own, whichever matches your scope.
Can you price equipment?
Yes. Send your supplier pricing or preferred manufacturers and we build it into the Excel file.
How much does a low voltage takeoff cost?
A single-trade takeoff is $99. Full priced estimates are $249 for residential or remodel and $499 for custom homes or commercial. Monthly plans start at $299 for 4 takeoffs, and unused takeoffs roll over.
