How we work
Square & Level Estimating prepares construction takeoffs and estimates for general contractors, subcontractors and builders in all 50 states. Our team has been building, running and estimating construction jobs since 2011, from residential and luxury custom homes to commercial and federal work.
Who does the work
Every takeoff is prepared by our estimating team and reviewed by our in-house general contractor, in-house estimator and engineers before it is delivered. That review checks scope, quantities and assumptions against the drawings, so the numbers reflect how the job is actually built.
Our process

What we estimate
Every trade, from sitework and concrete to framing, roofing, drywall, flooring, painting, millwork, HVAC, electrical and low voltage, or a full estimate across all divisions. Project types include residential, custom homes, multifamily and condos, commercial, industrial, institutional and hospitality.
Your plans stay private
Drawings and bid information you send are used only to prepare your estimate. We do not share them with other contractors or suppliers. See our privacy policy.
What our estimates are, and are not
Our estimates are for bidding and budgeting. They are built from the drawings and information provided, with every assumption written down. Final construction costs depend on site conditions, scope changes and market prices at the time of purchase, so always review the assumptions and exclusions before you bid.
Try us on your next bid. Your first estimate is 50% off (up to $150). Single-trade takeoffs are $99, and monthly plans start at $299 for 4 takeoffs, with unused takeoffs rolling over.
