Construction estimating: common questions

What do I need to send for a full estimate?

The full drawing set (architectural, structural and MEP if available), specs, the project location and your bid date. Partial sets are fine for budgets; we list what is assumed.

Do you price every division or just quantities?

Both are available. A takeoff gives quantities for one trade. A full estimate prices every division with material, labor and equipment, plus your overhead and markup.

Can you use my subcontractor numbers?

Yes. Send any sub quotes you have and we carry them in their divisions and price the rest.

What project types do you estimate?

Residential, custom homes, remodels, multifamily and condos, commercial, industrial, institutional and hospitality projects.

How much does a construction estimate cost?

Full priced estimates are $249 for residential or remodel and $499 for custom homes or commercial. Large projects are quoted. Single-trade takeoffs are $99, and monthly plans start at $299.
